Dominated by deep forest greens, rich umber-browns, creams, and muted gold, this work is organised along strong vertical axes that suggest cascading movement—weathered bark, geological strata, or dense vegetation. The surface is heavily built up with thick impasto layers that have been scraped, dragged, and palette-knifed, revealing translucent underlayers and creating rough three-dimensional ridges. There are no hard-edged geometric forms; instead, organic vertical slabs of colour overlap and fragment. The piece carries an elegiac, contemplative tone, evoking natural entropy and endurance—something once whole, now slowly eroding toward its end.
